About This Scholarship

The MIT Energy Initiative provides seed grants for exploratory MIT faculty and student research on energy challenges. MITEI Fellowships are available for MIT graduate students conducting energy-related research across all departments, including engineering, economics, political science, and urban planning. The fellowship provides a one-year stipend supplement of approximately $15,000 on top of standard research assistant funding. MITEI's network of industrial members and international affiliates provides scholars with connections to the energy industry's leading companies and governments.
