CERN, the European Organisation for Nuclear Research near Geneva, accepts approximately 200 undergraduate students each year for its Summer Student Programme. Students spend 8-13 weeks working at CERN on physics or computing projects alongside CERN researchers. Participants attend a comprehensive lecture programme covering all aspects of modern particle physics and computing. CERN provides a stipend, housing, and travel allowance. The programme accepts students from CERN member states primarily, with some slots for students from non-member states including associate member countries.
