About This Scholarship
Boren Scholarships and Fellowships fund US students to study abroad in world regions critical to US national security interests that are underrepresented in study abroad programmes including Africa, Asia, Central/Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Recipients commit to working for the US federal government for at least one year after graduation. Scholarships are up to $25,000; fellowships up to $30,000.
