About This Scholarship

Austria's Lehre (apprenticeship) system provides vocational training in over 200 professions. The 2-4 year dual training combines work in companies with attendance at vocational schools. Popular programmes include metalworking technology, electrical engineering, retail, IT, and tourism. Austrian apprentices are employed and receive training allowances. EU/EEA citizens can access apprenticeships, and the Austrian government has recently opened certain schemes to third-country nationals.
