About This Scholarship
The George J. Mitchell Scholarship supports one year of postgraduate study at institutions in Ireland and Northern Ireland for promising American students who demonstrate exceptional academic record, leadership, and contribution to their communities. The scholarship supports US-Ireland reconciliation and the positive values embodied in the Good Friday Agreement. 12 scholars are selected annually.
