Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Eligibility
Full-time work experience is not a requirement for application to the MS programs. Applicants are not required to have completed an undergraduate degree in a field related to the MS program. Additionally, applicants currently in an undergraduate program can apply, though your undergraduate degree must be conferred prior to matriculation to the Kogod graduate program.Requirements:
- A current copy of your resume is required and must be uploaded in the supplemental items section of the online application.
- A personal statement is required and must be uploaded in the supplemental items section of the online application.
- Two letters of recommendation are required. Applicants may submit academic and/or professional recommendations.
- Transcripts detailing your academic history and record must be provided for all undergraduate and/or graduate institutions attended.
Current Kogod undergraduate students:
- 3.3 GPA or higher
- Minimum grade of B+ in ACCT-240, ACCT-241, and FIN-365
Current AU undergraduate students, non-Kogod majors:
- 3.3 GPA or higher
- Minimum grade of B+ in STAT-202 or STAT-203 or higher, ECON-100 and ECON-200
English Proficiency: IELTS 7 or equivalent.
