The studies in modern languages and literature provide training at the core of 21st-century skills: Critical thinking Creativity Cooperation Communication The Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and Literature, with a focus on Germanic languages, offers in-depth study of two Germanic languages among English, Dutch, and German, combined with a strong foundation in humanities, particularly in linguistics, literature, and culture. An exploration of societal issues (environmental humanities, culture and creation, gender studies, decentralized history, etc.) or a deepening of language and culture in a third language is offered in the form of targeted options. Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, you will develop your communicative and critical analysis skills and be capable of interpreting cultural, literary, and linguistic phenomena of diverse and complex nature.

Program Curriculum
The Bachelor's degree provides you with: Complete linguistic immersion in at least two languages. General training in humanities (philosophy and contemporary history). Core courses in linguistics, literature, and methodology. In-depth study of the culture, linguistics, and literature of the two languages chosen. Training focused on the practical use of the chosen languages: classes taught in the studied languages, specific courses on communicative skills, practical exercises, language labs, conversation classes, numerous multimedia tools, etc. Close guidance in small-sized classrooms. The opportunity to engage in research during a final cycle project, with strong methodological guidance The opportunity to undertake a study abroad program as part of the Erasmus exchanges.
