Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • A four-year baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an academic institution recognized by the University of Alberta.
  • A Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The GPA calculation will be determined from the most recent 2 years (or 60 credits) of course work.
  • A B.Sc degree in Biochemistry or a closely related discipline is normally required for admission, but outstanding applicants from more distantly related disciplines are encouraged to apply.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
