Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

All applicants are required to have current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), and have a Bachelor of Nursing, with equivalents considered, and have a postgraduate qualification in a specialty area, and have five years full-time post-registration experience, of which three years must be in the chosen specialty area and one year at Advanced Practice level. Evidence of this is to be provided in a Curriculum Vitae, along with evidence of the professional associations\' membership and ongoing contribution to the profession.

Students are also required to be working a minimum of 20 hours per week in their specialty area, provide a letter of support from their employer, as well as a letter of support from a nominated Professional Mentor and a Clinical Mentor, both of whom will either have been a Registered Nurse Practitioner for at least three years or a Registered Medical Officer with at least three years experience in specialty area at registrar level or higher.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
