Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
a) have successfully completed a Graduate Diploma or equivalent in their nursing specialty area,\xc2\xa0
b) hold current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) general registration as a registered nurse with no conditions on registration relating to unsatisfactory professional performance or unprofessional conduct,
c) have a minimum of five years of full time equivalent (FTE) experience as a Registered Nurse including:\xc2\xa0
- a minimum of three years of post-registration experience in their speciality area, and
- a minimum of one year FTE at an advanced practice level in the relevant specialty area of practice, and
All applicants must ensure they correctly answer the question relating to nursing current practising certificate when applying. SATAC will attempt to confirm their registration on the online register with AHPRA but if SATAC is unable to do so, applicants will be asked to submit a certified copy of their certificate.\xc2\xa0
Additional Admission Requirements
All applicants must provide:\xc2\xa0
a) a CV demonstrating active involvement in professional organisations and contribution to the ongoing development of the profession; and\xc2\xa0
b) written evidence of support from their employer to complete the extended practice components of the course.\xc2\xa0
