Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
In addition to university requirements for admission to graduate study, applicants must have:
- A bachelor\xc2\x92s degree from a regionally-accredited college or university,
- A 2.75 or higher grade point average in their last 60 semester (or 90 quarter) units attempted,
- Attempted the basic skills requirement (e.g., CBEST),
- Completed a CTC-approved subject matter program by subject-area department or received a passing score on all required sections of the California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET),
- GE Oral Communications (3) or Speech Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (1) or an acceptable alternative by petition, and
- Completed the Writing Proficiency Exam (0) or an acceptable alternative by petition or a score of 41 or higher on the writing portion of the CBEST.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
