Throughout the MA course your study is backed up by a module in Research Methods, which provides a basis for your advanced learning, your assessments in each module and your dissertation – an extended piece of work on the text(s) or theme of your choice. Within the department, staff and students form a community of learners who, together and independently, seek to generate and exchange knowledge. Over the duration of the course, you will develop your abilities in independent and critical learning, building your confidence and expertise progressively through independent and collaborative research, problem solving, and analysis, with the support of staff. A first or second-class honours degree Normally a first or second-class Honours degree or professional experience in the area of study. If English is not your first language: IELTS 7.0 overall with a minimum of 7.0 in writing or equivalent. As one of our students all of your teaching and assessments are included in your tuition fees, including, lectures/guest lectures and tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and specialist teaching facilities.
