Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Direct entrants to this 60 credit award would typically require a Level 8 qualification in fields such as multimedia, digital media, media applications or a relevant area of design. Applicants without such qualifications will also be considered if they can show an equivalent level of learning gained through practice or any other means.
- Applicants with qualification in other fields may be interested in undertaking an initial 30 credit Certificate in Digital Media Design and Development, a programme which has been designed as a bridging route to the E-learning Masters Programme.
- In all cases final admission to the course will be on the basis of interview.
- If you are interested in making an application for the programme but are not sure if your qualifications are sufficient please make contact with the course co-ordinator or head of department.
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is when formal recognition is given for what you already know prior to starting on a programme or module. With recognition of prior learning the focus is on learning and not on experience as such. You can apply for RPL in any CIT accredited programme or module. Programmes which are accredited by professional bodies or any external awarding bodies may have their own procedures for RPL which you should refer to.
