Course Structure
- In the first year of study at UIndy, students are required to take two courses: Theory of International Relations and Research Design & Methods.
- These two courses are the foundation for a solid education in international relations and will help prepare students for future coursework and career paths.
- Students are also required, in their first year, to take various elective courses that interest them and are encouraged to participate in internships.

Academic Requirements
To apply to the program, submit the following:
- Online graduate application
- Official transcripts from each university or college attended, showing completion of a bachelor\'s degree from a regionally accredited institution. If applying from outside the U.S., the applicant\'s transcript should show the equivalent of a bachelor\'s degree.
- Official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) scores.
Additional requirements for international applicants
- Students for whom English is a second language must submit TOEFL and TWE scores of at least 550 on the paper test, 213 on the computer-based test, or an 80 on the Internet-based test
- Provide certification of finances (for students who are applying for a visa)
