Academic Requirements

The application materials that an applicant will need to submit are:

  • A Dutch BA degree in the Humanities, or the international equivalent thereof.
  • The grade list and the grade average on the basis of which that degree was earned.
  • An example of written work, in English, 4000 words maximum.
  • A letter of motivation, in which the applicant addresses how the application is motivated by previous art historical formation and future plans and ambitions.\xc2\xa0
  • Two references (no letters, just the names, affiliations, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers).

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
