Admission Requirements
Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3.25 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Entrance to our MSc programmes is strongly competitive. You can increase your chances of a successful application by exceeding the minimum programme requirements.
Academic requirements
You will need a UK first-class or 2:1 honours degree in one of the subjects below, or an equivalent overseas qualification.
Academic background
- An undergraduate degree in a business or management related subject is normally required.
- Candidates with degrees in science, mathematics, engineering, informatics or statistics will also be considered.
- Candidates with a very good Honours degree in a numerate or quantitative subject area or relevant business experience will be considered on an individual basis.
Supporting your application
- Relevant work experience is not required but may increase your chances of acceptance.
- Preference will be given to those with grades above the minimum requirements due to strong competition for places on this programme.

Final year undergraduate students are welcome to apply, so long as your studies will be completed prior to the MSc programme commencement date.
International qualifications
The minimum academic requirement is a UK 2:1 honours degree in a related subject or anequivalent international qualification.

Important points
- The ranking of the university at which you studied is considered when we determine whether or not your degree is equivalent to a first or upper second-class honours degree in the UK.
- If your degree is not of the required standard and you do not have highly relevant work or other experience, we will normally reject your application.
- Meeting the degree requirement doesn\xc2\x92t ensure acceptance. A higher standard may be needed for your application to be competitive for admission or funding.
- Other equivalent qualifications can be requested from the Admissions team.
- A conditional offer can be made if you are waiting for a final degree result or a language test result.
Minimum English language requirement
We require all applicants to meet one of the following English language requirements:
- You are a national of a majority English-speaking country as defined by the Home Office.
- You have completed an academic qualification at least equivalent to a UK Bachelors degree, which was taught in a majority English-speaking country.
- You have or will have achieved the minimum required score in one of our accepted English language tests.
