Program Curriculum

Course Structure

  1. build digital media apps that provide citizens improved accessibility to municipalities, state, or national administrations;
  2. do intern-based research within the realm of healthcare IT to push forward our knowledge about how digital technologies can be developed to enable citizens with diseases to live safely at home;
  3. conduct guided qualitative or quantitative analyses of social media or internet in order to trace patterns of use, identify new trends or critically examine a range of digital culture issues and concerns;
  4. practice applying data mining and information management techniques for appropriate marketing and/or information management.

Admission Requirements

Academic Requirements

Students should have a bachelor\xc2\x92s in the humanities or arts, business administration or psychology. This is a very new academic discipline, so students should be intellectually curious, innovative and keen to try out the new.

Full-time studies are equivalent to 60 ECTS per year. In the first two semesters, students will take three courses each semester, each course equivalent to 10 ECTS (see table). This includes courses on digital identities and social media, which, together with a course on digital organisations in the third semester, comprise the sociological strand of the programme. The constructing strand introduces students to the principles and practices of programming in two courses on dynamic web design. Lastly, the entrepreneurial strand comprises courses on digital economies and innovation and on project management. In the third semester, students can choose between an internship, a digital living project under supervision, or an academic profiling course.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
