Required score: 3

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • Colorado State University’s Graduate School’s criteria for graduate study is a 3.0 cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 point scale) from an accredited four-year undergraduate institution and, in the case of international applicants, a successful TOEFL or IELTS score if English is not the official language in the country of origin or the candidate did not graduate from an American university.
  • In addition to university criteria, the College of Business has admission criteria that must be met for all graduate programs. The College of Business uses a self-managed application process to allow you more control over the timing and completion of your application. An acceptable GMAT score is required. The Graduate School Application Form is completed online only and will come directly from the Graduate School to the College of Business.
  • The decision to admit an applicant is based on an evaluation of the candidate\'s potential for the successful completion of the graduate business program, the ability of the candidate to add to the perspective of the class and the school\'s ability to accommodate a limited number of students. A primary goal of the Colorado State University graduate programs is to select a richly diverse set of candidates with various undergraduate/graduate degrees and professional experiences.
