You need the following GPA score:

Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).

Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).

  • \xc2\xa0A bachelor\'s degree in mathematics, physics, or engineering, or a bachelor\'s degree with at least 24 upper division units in mathematics from an accredited college or university.
  • A grade of "C" or better in MATH 247, MATH 323, MATH 361A/B, MATH 364A, and 380, or their equivalents. Deficiencies will be determined by the Graduate Advisor.

Students must have fulfilled the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) and should file for Advancement upon completion of at least six units (and no more than nine units) on the program, with at least a 3.0 GPA. Program of study must be approved by the appropriate Graduate Advisor, Department of Mathematics and Statistics Chair, Associate Dean in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics or designee.

English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
