Academic Requirements

Applicants must meet all general admission requirements specified by the Graduate School. In addition, the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) (verbal and quantitative sections) and a bachelor\xc2\x92s degree in the sciences (or related disciplines) are required.Candidates lacking undergraduate courses in organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics, mathematics through introductory calculus, statistics, and fundamental courses in biological sciences may be required to make up deficiencies without graduate credit.International students are strongly advised to carefully read and follow the application instructions provided by the URI Graduate School.Personal StatementPlease tell us about how you became interested in neuroscience, and how you have pursued that interest thus far.
