Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
Criteria for admission to the MSN program include the following:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with an upper-division grade point average of 3.0 or higher from a CCNE or NLN AC accredited program.
- Eligibility for licensure to practice as a registered nurse.
- A score of 500 or higher on each of the verbal and quantitative sections in the prior version of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test. In the new version of the GRE a minimum score of 153 in the verbal section and 144 in the quantitative section. Analytical writing section is optional.
- International students or students whose native language is not English, are advised to contact the College of Nursing Admissions Office for further requirements.
English Proficiency: IELTS 6 or equivalent.
