Equal Justice Works is the largest post-graduate public interest legal fellowship programme in the United States. Fellows are placed with nonprofit legal organisations to work on two-year projects addressing critical civil justice issues including housing, immigration, healthcare access, and criminal justice reform. Sponsoring organisations and law firm sponsors provide full-time salaries and benefits for fellows. Approximately 60 fellows are named annually from a competitive pool of recent law graduates. EJW fellowships launch careers in public interest law and have supported over 1,300 attorneys who have provided millions of hours of legal services to underserved communities.
