The L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science programme (described in earlier parts at regional levels) also offers an International Rising Talents programme recognising 15 outstanding women scientists globally each year. Rising Talents are selected from the regional/national For Women in Science laureates and receive international recognition, fellowship funding, and connections to a global network of women scientists. The programme has supported over 3,800 scientists from 117 countries since 1998 and works to address the under-representation of women in scientific leadership roles worldwide.
