NOAA Sea Grant's National Fellowship Programme provides opportunities for doctoral students to work with NOAA scientists and resource managers on pressing coastal and marine challenges. The Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship places outstanding students in marine policy positions in the US federal government for one year. Over 1,500 Knauss Fellows have served in over 100 federal host offices including NOAA, the National Science Foundation, and Congressional offices. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of $66,000 annualised plus benefits.
