About This Scholarship

The Royal College of Surgeons of England awards international fellowships enabling surgeons from developing countries to undergo short-term specialist training in UK surgical centres. The Scholarship for Surgeons from Developing Countries covers 3-month placements in general surgery, orthopaedics, plastic surgery, or paediatric surgery. The fellowship includes travel, accommodation, and a monthly stipend. Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to returning to their home country and applying their new skills in resource-limited settings. The RCS also administers the Ethicon Foundation Fund for surgical education in developing countries.
