About This Scholarship

Sida funds research collaborations between Swedish universities and universities in developing countries, generating PhD studentships and research fellowships. The Research Cooperation programme builds long-term research capacity at partner universities in Africa and Asia. Sida also funds bilateral scholarships for students from partner countries to study in Sweden through its development cooperation budget.
