New Zealand
Te Ara Tika, a framework developed by the Health Research Council of New Zealand, guides research supporting Māori health and wellbeing. The HRC of New Zealand awards dedicated Māori Health Research scholarships and project grants to Māori researchers and to research teams incorporating strong Māori partnerships. The programme reflects the Treaty of Waitangi principles and seeks to build Māori research capacity across health, social sciences, and applied sciences. Scholarships support Māori students from honours through to doctoral level.
