Academic Requirements
You need the following GPA score:
Applicants for graduate programs must have the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA equivalent to 3 on a US 4.0 grading scale. Admitted applicants typically have an undergraduate GPA of 3 or better on a 4.0 scale. No exam grade should be lower than 4.5 (European grade scale) or D (American grade scale).
Your GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated using the grades that you received in each course, and is determined by the points assigned to each grade (e.g. for the US grading scale from A-F).
- Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4 point scale) from the basic nursing program
- Submission of official Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores
- A preferred work history (resume)
- A preferred work history that includes two years of full-time experience or its equivalent as a registered nurse, if entering the CNL major
- For applicants for whom English is a second language, demonstrated English language proficiency is measured by an acceptable score on the Test of Spoken English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the institutional version of the Test of Spoken English (TSE)
- An essay, 250-350 words
- Three letters of recommendation
