Career opportunities The Master en Médiation prepares for employment opportunities in positions requiring mediation and conflict resolution skills and the abilities to set up, supervise and manage social intervention projects. More info Download the flyer Objectives The Master in Médiation provides students with the specialised skills needed for working as a mediator in different socio-educational settings. The Master in Médiation consist of two parts (M1 and M2).The first part (M1) provides students with a general theoretical and practical training in mediation and conflict resolution. Courses are the same at all 3 partner universities of the programme.During M2, students specialise in one of the options offered by the three partner universities. At the University of Luxembourg, students are prepared for a career in a management position in a mediation or social intervention agency. To obtain the degree of Master in Médiation, students have to complete a Master thesis. Learning outcomes At the end of the programme, students are able to understand the theoretical framework of mediation processes, understand the legal and ethical implications of conflict resolutions, reflect on the different approaches to conflict resolutions, develop, plan and execute a mediation strategy in different settings: schools, families, court (criminal mediation) and communities (social mediation), analyse and evaluate existing mediation systems, define the concept of mediation and the theoretical, practical and research elements related to it, identify the types of mediation and their specificities, contextualise and conceptualise the mediation process, manage the mediation process, create and present a social intervention project plan, use key concepts from organisation and management theory to manage a project, manage the team at each phase of the project cycle, conduct scientific research.
